  1. We use a Strengths-based approach to identify and emphasise to focus on maintaining the areas that you can support yourself to ensure you remain independent and support you in those areas you struggle with.
  2. We focus on your goals and aspirations to ensure your care plan meets your needs and is outcome focused.
  3. We put emphasis on supporting you achieve your desired outcomes.
  4. We adhere to the Accessible Information Standard to ensure information is presented to you in a way that you understand.
  5. Our service is service user led and guided ensuring that you are involved in all aspects of decision making about your care.
  6. DBAM focuses on your changing needs and preferences to ensure we adapt our service to meet those needs and preferences.
  7. We offer a comprehensive assessment of your care needs prior to commencing service delivery. The assessment formulates a well-rounded view of your life, needs, background, medical history, preferences, hobbies etc.
  8. We provide a 6-weeks post commencement of care review to check on how the care is going and whether your needs as highlighted in the initial assessment are being met.

DBAM assesses various types of risks to our clients and identify the level of risk in the Risk Assessment; we then monitor and develop Risk Management Plans that ensure safety and personal freedoms are maintained for our clients to manage their risks, safe environments and self-reliance.
