Training & Development
DBAM offers a wide range of training and development opportunities for our staff.
DBAM provides in-house, outsourced, and online training to our staff for all mandatory courses and maintains records of the recruitment process. The initial training offered to our shortlisted staff is online to cover Mandatory care Training Courses covered under The Care Certificate through our HR and Employment Law provider Citations Or Access our Care Management System. Upon starting the in-house induction process, staff are scheduled to complete practical training courses like Medication Handling and Administration, Moving and Handling, CPR/ First Aid, Infection Control and Health and Safety through on-site and the Health and Safety Healthcare Training Group.
Our overseas staff undergo the same training as the in-country staff; however, they receive additional induction to ‘Life in the UK’ to help them assimilate and acculturate to a new culture. We refer them to the SESCA International Recruitment Hub, which we subscribe to through Surrey Care Association, to undergo training that supports their integration into the new community.
Upon completing the induction process, the recruitment team signs off on staff, who then sign an Induction completion form to indicate their readiness to work.
Additionally, we make support statements and referrals to letting agents to enable our new staff to get affordable accommodation. We work closely with some local letting agents to provide affordable rentals to our staff in general.
DBAM adheres to the detailed and agreed-upon job contracts and benefits/allowances.
DBAM partners with Alium Care Training Ltd. through Skills for Care’s Workforce Development Fund to provide Leadership and Management Programmes for all our Management and Senior Team members.
DBAM is registered with the Skills for Care Workforce Development Fund, which supports our training initiative. We are currently registering our staff for the new Government Training initiative for Level 2 Care Certificate.
